Results: You’ll begin to see results as soon as 24 hours after your treatment, and the lines may continue to fade up to one week afterwards. The effects can last up to four months.

WHAT TO EXCEPT IN-TREATMENT

After meeting with your physician to determine your desired outcome, the procedure itself takes only 10 to 15 minutes. A tiny amount of BOTOX COSMETIC® is injected with a fine needle into the muscle being treated – this process is virtually painless.

WHAT TO EXCEPT POST-TREATMENT

Avoid rubbing or massaging the treated areas for 24 hours after treatment, cleanse your face gently that evening (do not rub), avoid make-up application for 4 hours following treatment, avoid excessive bending down, tiring physical exercise, or hot tub use on the day of treatment.

IS THERE SIDE EFFECTS?

The side effects can include tenderness at the site of the injection or bruising. Most patients do not experience negative side effects and can return to their regular activities immediately.

What to expect IN-TREATMENT

Ice will be applied to the skin prior to treatment and local anesthetic is applied 30 minutes prior. Small needles are used to inject the filler into the desired area. Injectable fillers cannot be done within two weeks of dental procedures, any type of vaccination, or while being treated with antibiotics for an infection of any kind.

What to expect POST-TREATMENT

After the injections there will be some initial swelling that can last between 24-48 hours. Some patients may experience bruising which should subside within 3-7 days. Makeup can be applied 24 hours after treatment. Regular activity can resume immediately following, but patients should avoid exercising for 24 hours.
